Our Services
Patent Litigation on Contingency Basis
Some independent inventors and small companies own valuable patents that are being infringed by large corporations, but they lack the financial resources to file and pursue patent infringement lawsuits. We help these inventors and companies enforce their patents in court in exchange for a contingent-fee.
We only get paid if we were successful in obtaining a recovery. We are flexible in negotiating contingency and alternative billing arrangements depending on the nature of the case. We also litigate cases on a mixed hourly-fee/contingent-fee basis.
Patent Drafting and Prosecution
The first step in obtaining a patent is to determine whether your invention is patentable. We will conduct a US and foreign patent search. We will then send you a detailed report of our findings, which includes copies of relevant patents and/or patent applications for your review and a patentability opinion discussing the scope of available patent protection for your invention.
Drafting and Filing
The second step is to prepare your patent application based on your disclosure. We will describe your invention in legal terms required by the Patent & Trademark Office with the goal of obtaining the broadest coverage for your invention. We will then send you a draft of the application for your review and approval. Once we receive your approval, we will file it immediately with the Patent Office. At that point, your patent is pending and you can market your invention without losing your rights.
Patent Prosecution
The third step involves verbal and written correspondences between our attorneys and the Patent Examiner assigned to your application. In some cases, we may conduct a face-to-face interview with the Examiner or we may simply present arguments in writing in response to objections by the Examiner. You will be informed of all such developments at each stage of the patent application process.
If your application for patent is approved by the Patent Office, a Notice of Allowance will be issued and your application will be published in the Official Gazette and your application will issue as a Registered Patent.
